On a Thanksgiving many years ago, my friend Billy called me . He was so depressed. I tried my best to help him but didn't understand how dangerous his depression was.
He killed himself about a month later. It haunts me to this day. I think of him and that long ago Thanksgiving and wish I had known how to help him.
