Girl Crush Girl Power!

Gril Crush : When one is blown away by how AWESOME a gal is! Nothing romantic.

I have two Girl Crushes!

1 My new Oncologist Dr. Anna Pavlick She found my primary melanoma! She is sooo smart, very funny and LOVES dogs! She is going to save my life!

She is a total ROCK STAR!

2 My Oncology Surgeon, Dr Erica Friedman She is very, very smart, very comforting and is gonna get this cancer out of my body. She is gonna save my life.

She is a total ROCK STAR!

Wow, am I lucky to have found them. They are like friends and sisters on steroids.  I feel so grateful to them both and to my friend Dr. Paul Finger who introduced me to Dr. Pavlick.

Driving back home after I first met Dr. Pavlick, I felt hope for the first time since this nightmare started. My amazing hypno therapist, Althea, told me to look for signs. (She could also be a girl crush)  I saw two graffiti signs in the most difficult of places, on a bridge, on the top of a building, that said ANNA!

(I actually experience this weird kind of seeing their name thing EVERY TIME I consider adopting a dog!) Honestly. But that is another post.

The universe is guiding me and letting me know I'm in the right place.

My surgery is set for this coming Thursday May 7th. My favorite day.

Dear Katie- I’m glad to hear that you like your doctors because Doctors save lives. I know, my partner was diagnosed with stage four liver cancer but it was actually colon cancer that spread to the liver and now after 20 rounds of chemotherapy and immunology, at Sloan Kettering Montvale, Now he has become a cancer survivor and I have a best friend who’s a scientist who told me that many people can survive cancer! She was right ! And now there’s so many advances that one has to hold on to hope ... especially during this time we’re all being forced to look at how important it is to love our bodies and take care of ourselves not just each other and as givers we must ! I’m not gonna say it hasn’t been easy because it hasn’t but that which separates us can also brings us together ... and I’m learning how resilient I am as a caretaker I’m learning how important life is and gratitude is and all of these special gifts and my partner well the doctor says he’s A miracle so we have to believe in miracles. No doubt his state of mind and his perseverance for now is what helped him become my hero. So feel free to reach out to us and others that can help. I have found that most people want to but don’t know what to do so we’ve ended up doing this alone mostly which in some ways could be even more intimate....but one does need help - and after the fear acceptance which will come - it’s really an amazing and humbling and difficult experience but with all the cocktails they have now many people live long healthy lives. The only thing that is certain is gravity - the sun will rise tomorrow morning and hopefully bring a new day with new hope . 🙏🏻 Big hugs and light jenn
